The Rosary Walk

rosasrywalk-smDedicated on May 31, 2016, the Rosary Walk is located next to Tricia’s Trail near the yurts.

The idea of the Rosary Walk grew through the friendship of Kevin Matthews, the Franciscan Sisters, and the staff of the Center which began when Kevin shared his story of “Broken Mary,” a statue of Mary that he rescued from the trash.

The Rosary Walk is the result of Kevin’s idea and help, the generosity of donors as well as the skill of Cris Ritsema, site manager. The Walk is a paved sidewalk where people can pray the rosary as they walk.  Surrounding it is the San Damiano Cross outlined with plants of lavender.

A recording of Kevin reciting the rosary is played at 10:00 am, 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm each day.

Visitors are welcome to stop by from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday or by appointment at other times.
